Our FLEX Department is for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or High Needs.

You can choose from one of our three, project-led pathways depending on your personal aims and ambitions; Horizons, Pre-internships or Supported Internships. Each pathway is intended to help you towards one of two key goals – adulthood and independence or employment. We’ll also help you with your English, maths and IT skills.

When you study at Rotherham College you’ll be based in the heart of the town centre, with easy access to a wide range of facilities including the market and local shopping areas. You’ll also have access to an on-site salon, a library and the chance to perform in our theatre.

Our dedicated FLEX area includes a relaxation area, a sensory room, a purpose built independent flat/bedsit, a kitchen area, an arts and crafts area and an open classroom.

We have strong partnerships with local businesses and organisations and work with them to get involved in community projects. You’ll also have the chance to take part in a wide range of health and wellbeing activities, from fitness classes to music and art therapy sessions.

Our Flex courses are delivered at various RNN Group campuses, please see the course list below. If your chosen course is delivered at Dearne Valley College, we have a student bus service available to make travelling easier.
