Rotherham College is offering free digital training to all working employees in Rotherham. Funded by the European Social Fund, Advancing Digital provides cost-free courses up to Level 3 in digital skills used in the workplace, such as;

- Social Media
- Microsoft Excel
- Google analytics and SEO
- Tailored packages to your needs
Advancing Digital is funded by the European Social Fund and operates in partnership with Barnsley Council, Barnsley College, RNN Group, Sheffield City Council, ITS (Independent Training Services) and Sheffield Hallam University.
Whether you need basic, intermediate or advanced training our IT tutors are here to deliver Free classes around all aspects of the Digital and IT world.

What does the training cost?
Advancing Digital training courses are completely free for you to undertake. Training is fully-funded by the European Social Fund.
What kind of training do you offer?
Our IT and Digital training is tailored to the needs of your organisation. We offer training in a wide range of different digital areas such as Microsoft Office Programmes, Social Media, Presentations, Google Analytics and SEO. Will this training lead to a qualification?
No, our training options do not lead to a qualification. However they will help to develop your skills, knowledge and training in the areas where your digital skills could be improved so you can perform better at work, or progress in your career.
What is the time commitment?
The training offered through Advancing Digital is tailored to your business needs. This includes any time commitments, as training options can be adapted to any time frames which your organisation keeps.
Do I need to take time off work?
No. If your employer gives permission for you to take these as part of your working day, we can make arrangements for this. If you’d rather not include your employer, the training can be delivered to fit around your work.
I don’t live or work in Rotherham, can I apply for the Advancing Digital Training Scheme?
Advancing Digital is only available to people that live and work in the South Yorkshire region.
I have a zero hour contract, can I apply for the Advancing Digital Training Scheme?
Yes. If you are employed and live in the South Yorkshire area , you can take part in the training.
I’m self employed, can I apply for the Advancing Digital Training Scheme?
Yes, if you are self-employed and live in the South Yorkshire area, you can take part in the training.
