Level 3 Business Students Host Successful Fundraising Event

On the 5th of June, Level 3 Business students at Rotherham College organised and held a fundraising and awards event at The Wharncliffe Restaurant. The aim of the event was to celebrate the achievements of Business and Aviation students over the past academic year and to raise money for Rotherham Hospice.

Learners took part in activities such as bingo, guess the celebrity and murder mystery and raised money by selling raffle tickets, where there were fantastic prizes up for grabs.

In addition to fundraising, the event was a way to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of the students. Awards were presented across various categories, including, ‘Most Employable’, ‘Marketing Master’ and ‘Best Branding’.

The organisation of the event was a way for students to practically apply business skills developed in class and throughout their course. From event planning, marketing and financial management, the students demonstrated their ability to execute a large-scale event successfully.

The project not only provided them with valuable hands-on experience but also fostered a sense of teamwork and responsibility.
