RNN Group Goes Green: Celebrating Earth Day 2024

18 April 2024

Earth Day is globally recognised and celebrated every year on the 22nd of April, with the aim of promoting sustainability and encouraging individuals, businesses and governments to take action towards a cleaner, healthier planet.

As Earth Day 2024 approaches, The RNN Group are gearing up for a week-long celebration of sustainability and environmental awareness. With a commitment to nurturing responsible citizens, we are eager to engage students and staff in meaningful activities that promote a greener future.

Check out the ways you can get involved below.

Monday the 22nd

Plant-based menu

Our catering partners, Aramark, will be serving a plant-based menu. Plant-based burgers with french fries, lentil madras with rice, and Mediterranean bean couscous will be available in canteens across our campuses.

Eating plant-based is one of the best ways to lower your carbon footprint and contributes to a healthier lifestyle as well.

Litter picking

Support our local environment by volunteering for litter picking at Dearne Valley College.
