The spacious, industry-standard Art and Design Studio at Rotherham College contains a range of professional equipment that enables students to work in a wide range of disciplines within art and design including 2D, 3D, and animation.

As an Art student at Rotherham College, you can develop your creative skills in a range of 2D and 3D art forms with a focus on fine art, craft, ceramics, fashion and textiles. Our range of creative spaces at Rotherham College enable students to work on painting, print-making, screenprinting, sculpture, laser-cutting, ceramics, glazing, digital painting, drawing and design.

Equipment

You will have unlimited access to professional equipment including:

• A 3D workshop, which contains the tools to make in wood, metal and plastic. This workshop also contains ceramics equipment including potters wheels and a range of kilns, a vacuum former and a large laser cutter. 
• Our large, well-lit 2D studios that contain easels, paints and dedicated wet work areas. 
• You will also have access to our range of digital suites, which includes Adobe CC software, wacom tablets and iPads for digital drawing and painting.

Health and Safety

All facilities meet the requirements of health and safety legislation. Technicians work with students on certain equipment.
