Average salary - £19,500 to £34,000*

Finance Officers help to manage the finances of an organisation by keeping track of its income and controlling its spending.

Day to day tasks:

Record financial transactions on computer systems, produce financial forecasts, deal with payroll, invoices, expenses and VAT, resolve payment questions for external contractors, carry out financial audits, create budget reports and present reports to managers.*

Retail Manager

Average salary - £20,000 to £60,000*

Retail managers look after stores, motivate staff to achieve sales targets, organise promotional events and monitor industry trends.

Day to day tasks:

Manage and motivate teams to increase sales, oversee recruitment and training of staff, keep track of stock and ordering, organise sales promotions and in-store events, deal with queries, complaints and feedback from customers, analyse sales figures and forecast future sales, maintain awareness of market trends and monitor competitors, control budgets and costs, provide reports to senior company executives.*
