Sustainability Project Launches at Rotherham College

Rotherham College has officially launched its new sustainability project, led by our talented Level 3 Fashion students.

To mark the beginning of this exciting initiative, the students have designed and created a starter garment that will evolve throughout the academic year.

The project brings together creativity and sustainability, encouraging students from across all curriculum areas, not just Fashion, to take part. During craft sessions held throughout the year, secondhand and repurposed materials will be added to the dress, transforming it into a collaborative showcase of ideas and skills.

By working together, students will highlight the importance of sustainable practices in fashion and beyond, while also exploring innovative ways to reduce waste and give new life to existing fabrics.

This evolving garment will stand as a symbol of our college-wide commitment to sustainability, creativity, and collaboration.
