Our Art, Graphic Design and Fashion courses give students of all abilities the freedom to explore their creativity, develop technical skills and gain the confidence to bring their ideas to life.
You’ll learn from experienced, specialist tutors in our industry-standard studios and creative spaces, designed to inspire innovation and prepare you for the professional world. Our state-of-the-art facilities include:
- Dedicated studios for Art, Fashion and Graphics
- Fully equipped 3D workshops and ceramics areas
- A specialist textile studio and kiln room
- Modern digital suites with industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud
Throughout your studies, you’ll benefit from guest talks, masterclasses and live projects with industry professionals, as well as visits to national galleries and design exhibitions including Tate Liverpool and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Level 3 students also have the opportunity to take part in a residential trip to a major European city such as Barcelona, London, Madrid or Paris.
To celebrate your achievements, you’ll showcase your creative work at our annual Art and Design Exhibition and Fashion Shows, attended by industry guests, friends and family.
After completing a Level 3 Art, Graphic Design or Fashion course, you can progress to degree-level study, start a creative apprenticeship, or launch your career in the industry as a Freelance Artist, Graphic Designer or Fashion Designer.
We will build your skills to help you become a Graphic Designer by setting challenges, and support you to discover your own design solutions.
You will experiment with your creativity and explore the boundaries of graphic design, whilst learning to become self-reliant, independent and professional with the support of our teaching team.
You’ll develop key graphic design skills such as illustration, animation, Adobe suite, typography, drawing, printmaking, digital imaging and layout design.
We will help you attain a career in fashion by setting challenges that will develop creative thinking, problem solving, and practical skills required to be successful in the fashion industry.
You will build the skills and confidence to design and make your own garments and develop your creativity whilst learning to become self-reliant, independent and professional with the support of our teaching team.
We will help you become an Artist or Designer by setting creative challenges that will develop the creative thinking, problem solving, and practical skills required to be successful in the creative industries.
You will build the confidence to take creative risks, develop resilience, resourcefulness and a self-reliant and professional approach to a range of creative practice, with the support of our teaching team.
You can take part in masterclasses from industry practitioners and gain valuable work experience.
