Rotherham College T Level Students Deliver Taster Session to Maltby Pupils
Rotherham College T Level students were invited to Maltby School in a new initiative with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver taster sessions in a School setting.
Rotherham College’s Early Years and Education Team and T Level students piloted this scheme and it went down very well. The session was delivered to engage students with options and careers in childcare, education and early years.
T Level students presented the session plan to Maltby pupils including the activities they would be doing and the skills they would learn which all related to the key employment area of childcare to show Maltby pupils the reason for engaging with these specific activities.
The session was a resounding success with Maltby pupils really engaging with Rotherham’s T Level students, probably more so than if a teacher was delivering the session!
A fantastic initiative and huge thanks to Maltby School and RMBC for facilitating this and to Rotherham College’s Early Years and Education staff and T Level students for piloting it.
