Walk down memory lane at our Alumni Tea and Tour events
Alumni Tea and Tours
This year marks a special milestone for the RNN Group of Colleges as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.
Over the past decade, thousands of students have walked through our doors, gained new skills, built lasting friendships and taken their first steps towards successful careers.
To celebrate this achievement, we’re inviting former students to join us this July for our Alumni Tea and Tour events – a chance to reconnect with the people and places that helped shape your journey.
Whether you studied with us a few years ago or were part of one of our earliest cohorts, we’d love to welcome you back.
So, if you are a past student from Rotherham College, North Notts College or Dearne Valley College, here’s why you should join us at our alumni tea and tour events.
Revisit familiar places and discover what’s changed
Do you remember your first day at college? The excitement of starting something new, meeting new people and taking the next step towards your future?
Perhaps you had a favourite classroom or remember spending a lot of your time in the library or cafeteria between lessons.
During the event, you’ll have the chance to take a guided tour of the campus, revisit some familiar spaces and see how your college has grown since your time as a student.
Because a lot has happened over these last ten years.
Our campuses have evolved, facilities have been upgraded and new opportunities have been created for learners.
For example, there’s a new construction centre at Rotherham College, a state-of-the-art health suite at Dearne Valley, and a specialist T Level centre at North Notts. Our courses have grown and changed, with newer subjects like aviation and esports now being offered to students.
Returning for a visit is your chance to see how we’ve adapted over the last decade and hopefully recommend our courses to your own children or younger relatives in time.

Reconnect with tutors and classmates
Did you have a favourite tutor who inspired you? Are the friends you made at college still in your life today or have you lost contact over the years?
One of the highlights of the event will be the opportunity to catch up with former tutors, support staff and fellow students.
Many of the staff who helped might have helped you achieve your ambitions are still part of our college community today, and they’ll be delighted to hear what you’ve been doing since you completed your course.
Whether you’ve progressed into employment, higher education, started your own business or changed careers entirely, we’d love to hear your story.
The event is also a great opportunity to reconnect with old classmates, share memories and celebrate how far you’ve all come.
Join our new alumni network
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we’re launching a new alumni network designed to help former students stay connected with RNN Group and each other.
The network will provide opportunities to hear about future events, share career updates, expand professional connections and remain part of the college community long after graduation.
We know that our alumni have a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to share, and we want to create meaningful ways for you to stay involved.

Inspire the next generation
Our students benefit enormously from hearing from people who once sat where they sit today.
Many of our alumni have gone on to build successful careers, launch businesses, lead teams and make a difference in their communities. Through the alumni network, there will be opportunities to inspire current learners by sharing your experiences, offering careers insight, mentoring, guest speaking or supporting industry projects.
For employers and business owners, there may also be opportunities to collaborate with the College through work placements, industry partnerships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities for our students.
Together, we can help ensure that future learners have access to the same support, encouragement and opportunities that helped shape your own journey.
We’d love to welcome you back
Our Alumni Tea and Tour events are about more than looking back – they’re about celebrating our shared history while building connections for the future.
Join us for an afternoon of conversation, memories, refreshments and discovery as we celebrate ten years of transforming lives and creating opportunities.
