Studying the Childcare T Level will enable you to develop core skills and knowledge such as working with others, observation and child development.
The T Level Qualification is split into 2 component parts:
Core Component: The knowledge and underpinning concepts, theories and principles as well as core skills for the education and childcare sector.
The Occupational Specialism: Providing you with knowledge and skills required to achieve competence as an ‘Early Years Educator’.
Learners will be required to undertake an industry placement in an Early Years setting for a minimum of 21 weeks (750 hrs).
As part of this course you will study a variety of topics including:• Wider context of the sector• Supporting and wellbeing • Health and Safety • Behaviour • Observation and assessment • Equality and Diversity • Special Educational Needs and disabilities • English as an additional language • Parents, families and carers• Reflective practiceYou will also improve on your Maths, English and digital skills.
We provide state of the art facilities, close links with employers to ensure you develop the knowledge and skills needed in industry, excellent teaching from specialist staff and a small cohort so you will have a high level of support during your time with us.
Five GCSEs at grades 4 or above including GCSE English and Maths orLevel 2 Early Years and Education plus GCSE English and Maths at grade 4.
