This 15-credit Level 4 HN Flex unit develops evidence-based practice for supporting the holistic development and progress of infants and toddlers
You will research prenatal development, examine developmental theories and their influence on policy and practice, plan care with families and professionals, and demonstrate leadership in supporting infants and toddlers.
Strengthen practical observation and planning skills while applying established and contemporary play theory to real early years practice.
Applicants normally need a relevant Level 3 qualification, Access to HE Diploma, A Levels, or appropriate industry experience. Entry and prior technical knowledge are discussed at interview.
Successful completion provides 15 Level 4 credits and a Pearson Certificate of Unit Credit. The learning supports progression to further HN Flex units or a relevant Higher National qualification through recognition of prior learning or top-up, subject to Pearson rules and college approval.
