Practical, Industry-Relevant Learning
At Dearne Valley College, you will gain hands-on experience working on our 12-acre land to develop your knowledge and skills. You will be taught by experienced tutors with qualifications and relevant industry experience.
Good maths and literacy skills.
Familiar with ICT usage, as there is an online exam.

This qualification is for you if you are 16 years or older and want to work with animals, either directly hands-on or within wider allied services or businesses. It is designed to provide you with a very wide range of specialist technical practical skills and detailed knowledge and understanding which will equip you to seek a diverse range of employment opportunities, or to further learning and training within the animal care and management industries.
