How do I get my place on the Student Shuttle?

You need to register for the Student Shuttle either online by clicking the following link and completing our enquiry form or calling our Enquiries Team on 01709 722777. If you haven’t applied for your College course yet, the Enquiries Team can help you with that too.

Student Shuttle Service Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When and where is the Student Shuttle running?

The Student Shuttle Service picks up from our Town Centre Campus, on Wharncliffe Street, arriving for 8.15am.

The Student Shuttle then goes on to our Dinnington Campus and gets to Dinnington Campus for 8.50am.

At the end of the day, the Student Shuttle leaves Dinnington at 4.30pm and gets to Town Centre for 5.05pm.

Q: Who can use the Student Shuttle?

You have to be currently enrolled as a student at Rotherham College, be using the bus to come to or go home from College, and be using on a day when you have classes, or have to come into College for some other reason. This covers all students, including Higher Education students.

Q: Is there a cost?

No, it’s free but you will need to show your Student ID pass to the driver.

Q: How do I get a place on the Student Shuttle?

You need to register for the Student Shuttle either online or calling our Enquiries Team. If you haven’t applied for your College course yet, the Enquiries Team can help you with that, please call 01709 722777.

Q: Will the Student Shuttle be nice to travel on?

Yes – the Student Shuttle will be comfortable and not overcrowded – there will be a seat (with a seatbelt) for everyone. Only College students will travel on the coaches.
Students must behave respectfully to others. Anyone misbehaving will not only be suspended or excluded from using the Student Shuttle Service, but will be suspended or excluded from College.

Q: The Student Shuttle doesn’t help me because of where I live. Can I get any other help with transport?

Our Student Support Team help hundreds of students a year with advice on travel to College, bus passes and whether financial help might be available depending on your circumstances.

Q: I have a mobility difficulty. Can I use the bus, or how else can I get to College?
