The runners up of the World Book Day competition

Rotherham College Celebrate World Book Day with a ‘Shelfie’ Competition

6 June 2017

To celebrate ‘World Book Day’ library staff across the RNN Group held a ‘Shelfie’ competition and asked students to create a short story/poem using a selection of book titles from the library shelves. They just needed to take a photo of the stack when completed and send it in.

The overall winner was chosen by Judith France, Head of Library Services.  The winning entry was submitted by Dylan Cain who is studying for Art and Design Entry Level at Rotherham College with: ‘Just one year; I was here; Whistling for the elephants;  While my eyes are closed; Staring up at the sun; and the mountains echoed; Across the river and the trees.’ and is pictured receiving his award.

Also pictured are the runners up Pantea Jokar and Touhami Boucelha pictured with Kimberley Hicks, Senior Library assistant, who presented them with their awards.
