22 January 2018

Last week, 1st Year Level 3 UAL Performing and Production Arts Students on the dance pathway took part in ‘Nexus’, a national youth dance platform in partnership with U.Dance 2018. Over 8 different schools, colleges and community groups took part in this fantastic festival of dance at Hall Cross Academy, Doncaster.

The students, Lauren Sinclair, Daisy Barber and Jade Brooks showcased their ‘Tornado Ballet’ and ‘Martha Graham’ piece of dance showcasing their skills, techniques from across ballet, contemporary and jazz influences.

Ben Wainwright, Dance Lecturer, said “Each student was very excited to be performing and of course, a little nervous. This is a perfect example of how we give our students fantastic performance opportunities, and industry level training and experiences. These student experiences are what draw the students to our ever growing and exciting dance course.”

You can see all the Level 3 Musical Theatre and Dance performing in the Studio Theatre, Rotherham College on 16th/17th May 2018 for their end of year showcase.
