Catering Students Create Culinary Delights for Master Cutler’s Challenge

8 March 2018

Rotherham College Catering students have been involved in the Master Cutler’s Challenge, a fundraising event taking place across Sheffield in support of Bluebell Wood Hospice.

Since 2008, the challenge across Sheffield and South Yorkshire has raised over £1 million for charity through the Cutler’s, the challenge for partakers to turn £50 into as much money as possible.

Students have created a number of dishes at The Wharncliffe restaurant, from tomato and basil soup to chicken stir fry, as well as a variety of baked cakes and cupcakes for students and staff.

The money raised will support local children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, giving parents and families the opportunity to relax and be comfortable both at home and at the hospice.
