Times have been tough recently; the Coronavirus pandemic has seen millions of people placed on furlough and unfortunately seen companies forced to make redundancies. If you’ve been made redundant recently, have been unemployed for a while, or are a business looking for a way to support your employees with their next steps or recruit for vacant positions, our new workshops are here to support local people and businesses to fulfil their employment needs.
If you are searching for work you can get support with a personalised plan to make sure you retain existing skills and develop new skills ones to help you secure new employment.
We can support with:
- CVs and covering letters
- Identifying transferable skills and skills gaps
- Online video interviews
- Recruitment processes
- Job searching and applying online
- Registering with agencies
- Presentation skills
- Building confidence
Courses are available from this September at Rotherham College, Dearne Valley College and North Notts College and run for two weeks, three days per week, 9.30am-2.30pm. You will learn in spacious classrooms to adhere to social distancing measures and learning will comprise a blended approach of both face-to-face classroom-based learning and remote learning.
We can also offer tailored solutions for individuals with limited access to laptops. We can also support with accessing other courses in English, maths and IT.
Employer or Recruiter Support
To support businesses or recruiters looking to fill available positions, we can help review applicants who have applied (either through the Job Centre, a recruiter or directly to the employer) and select 15-20 applicants to attend a bespoke two to three-week training course, which has been designed to develop the skills required for the available positions. There’s no cost to the employer or recruiter, we simply ask that our trainees are guaranteed an interview at the end of the course.
To book your place, discuss your training requirements or find out more call 01709 362111.
