This curriculum will allow learners to develop their skills and knowledge of preparing and submitting returns to the relevant tax authority, will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to keep their employers and clients compliant with the law and practices that apply to the indirect tax taxation of sales and purchases.

Hotel Manager

Average salary - £26,900*

Hotel Managers are in charge of the day-to-day running of a hotel.

Day-to-day tasks:

Set budgets, sales targets and forecast income, promote the hotel through different types of marketing, plan and organise accommodation, catering and other services offered, ensure the hotel meets licensing and health and safety laws, manage corporate bookings and events, meet and greet customers and deal with complaints.**

In a hotel or an office setting.

Finance Officer

Average salary - £23,300*

Finance Officers help to manage an organisation’s finances by keeping track of its income and
controlling its spending.

Day-to-day tasks:

Record financial transactions, produce financial forecasts, deal with payroll, invoices, expenses and VAT, resolve payment requests from external contracts, carry out financial audits, create budget reports and present reports to management.**

Working environments:

Office settings or at a client’s business.
