This course is designed to provide you with the broad knowledge, understanding to work in the joinery occupations with a focus on bench joinery.
You will have the chance to gain valuable work experience with local employers, gain your CSCS card and work on live projects as part of your course.
The Level 2 course allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required to work in Bench Joinery.
You will: • Set Up and Operate a Circular Saw • Produce Setting Out Details for Bench Joinery Products • Mark Out from Setting Out Details for Bench Joinery Products • Manufacture Bench Joinery Products • English and Maths (if required).
• Learn from industry-experienced tutors with a wealth of experience in all construction trades. • Great links to local employers including Polypipe, Sherwood Construction and Bassetlaw District Council. • Participate in industry competitions such as Skill Build, World Skills and inter-college competitions. • Attend site visits with local employers. • Access to industry-standard workshops, tools and equipment. • A thriving industry with 6,630 homes to be built in Bassetlaw by 2035.
