Local Colleges Join Together To Expand Education Opportunities

4 May 2016

Formed from the merge of Rotherham College and North Notts College, RNN Group now present a greater range of higher education courses – with six campuses across the Rotherham and North Nottinghamshire areas.

Spreading across Rotherham Town Centre, Dinnington, Retford and Worksop, the combination of the two colleges means that prospective students now have the opportunity to study university-accredited courses without having to travel far from the area.

As a student at the colleges, you will have the chance to take advantage of state-of-the-art facilities, working in smaller classes under the watchful eye of industry specialist. One-to-one attention means you know your studies will be taken seriously, giving you the time and effort you deserve.

Along with the joint provision on offer from both colleges, a number of brand new courses have been added to the line-up. You now may choose from variety of HNCs, HNDs, BAs and professional courses in subjects from Engineering to Games Development, from Hair and Beauty to Sport. There is even the option to further your managerial and business skills with our CMI qualifications in Management and Professional studies with one of the RNN Group subsidiary companies, Create-skills.

The Student Support team at the Colleges will help guide you with any financial support you may require and as with undergraduate courses provided at university, students can still receive support through Student Finance England, with all loans payable once you are earning over £21,000 a year.

Previous Higher Education students have gone on to be extremely successful including Luke Cardwell, who graduated from Rotherham College, and was also student guest speaker at the Graduation ceremony, after studying the HND in Creative Media.  He has been working with the BBC filming live football and Bring Me the Horizon guitarist, Lee Malia, successfully completed the Foundation Degree in Performing Arts: Music at Rotherham College before he started his successful music career.
