Full-time programmes

If you are aged between 16-24 and want to Earn While You Learn then you should consider an Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships follow a programme that includes a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), a Technical Certificate and Key Skills. These are nationally recognised qualifications.

Rotherham College of Arts and Technology offers a wide variety of training with excellent facilities for you to gain the maximum from the apprenticeship route.

You will be fully supported during your day-release at college and will have a dedicated Apprentice Support Officer who will offer support with regular visits to the workplace. Your Apprentice Support Officer will give you regular feedback and encouragement as well as helping you to become aware of the latest Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity legislation.

As one apprentice said:

“I know that I made the right choice. Everyone was supportive and helped me gain the necessary skills towards my apprenticeship”.

Work Based Learning consists of 4 occupational areas:

  • Engineering: including Manufacturing and Motor Vehicle
  • Construction
  • Early Years Care & Education
  • Administration & Accountancy
