Catering and hospitality demonstrations at Russums
The Catering and Hospitality department recently teamed up with Catering and Clothing and Equipment manufacturer Russums to demonstrate the benefits that can be gained from an ongoing working relationship.
Russums are one of the key providers of uniforms for the College as well as a long standing supporter of the College’s Hospitality department through their continuous sponsorship enabling the department to provide our students with a range of specialist equipment to use and benefit from within their learning environment. A visit to Russums’ Rotherham branch enabled Catering and Hospitality students to view a demonstration of the latest equipment that the manufacturer has available. The students then had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills to Russums employees through the preparation of floating coffee’s, hot canapés and the serving of a lunch for 50 guests. Curriculum Manager for Catering and Hospitality Nick Crofts-Smith explained; “This was a great opportunity for the students to practice their skills and also a way of giving something back to Russums for their valued support towards the College.”
