Catering Students Meet HRH Prince Edward

Catering students were introduced to royalty when they were asked to prepare and serve afternoon tea for the opening of the Voluntary Action organisation within Rotherham.

Voluntary Action Rotherham is the lead body for supporting, developing and promoting the voluntary and community sector in the Rotherham borough. Its core activities and associated projects are a keystone for local community engagement and development. The organisation was officially declared open by His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. The students who attended were on hand to serve the tea and had the opportunity to meet the Earl. The event was a worthwhile experience for the team and all involved received excellent feedback from the centre’s manager.
