Student has artwork chosen for magazine front covers

Foundation Degree in Graphic Design student Gareth Spencely recently had his artistic creations chosen for the covers of two magazines.

‘A-Muse’ and ‘Muse’ are produced by the National Association for Gifted Children and are designed to encourage learning amongst the youth of today. Gareth’s recognition by the association also reaffirmed the comments made by the College’s Curriculum Manager in Art and Design Gwen Plant who explained, “Gareth is a highly motivated student who has produced some strong work within his first year on the course. These designs will certainly be ideal examples to include within his portfolio.” Gareth also recently achieved the highest score out of all participating colleges in South Yorkshire in his Adobe Certified Associate exam in ‘Web Communication using Dreamweaver MX’. He soon hopes to complete his Foundation Degree and join the third year of the degree course at Sheffield Hallam University to achieve a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design.
