Social spaces are available at Rother Valley and Town Centre, where you can relax with friends, play pool or access PC’s. You can find the Common Room at Town Centre Campus down the steps after walking through the main entrance to Howard Building. There are also lockers available in the Common Room at the Town Centre site. At Rother Valley, the Common Room is through the canteen.
Enrichment
An exciting calendar of enrichment activities is organised by the Enrichment Officers to enhance your college experience such as themed weeks like Diversity Week, where we have had steel drumming workshops and food tasting, in addition to cross-college activities such as trips to Alton Towers and Nottingham.
Student Crew
Why not join the Student Crew to increase your social circle, gain experience for your CV and make a positive contribution? The student Crew is the collective term for students involved in the committees we run.
Social Enterprise - organising charity events.
Sports committee - helps research sporting possibilities in the area and recruitment to football clubs, rounders etc.
Buzz - writing for the student magazine, submit a joke or an article on a band you have seen for publication.
Schools committee - helps run activities within college for visiting school pupils, in addition to visiting schools and talking to pupils on an informal basis about their college experience and what to consider in choosing a college.
Ball committee - helps research student desires for the end of year ball, and put these into place– themes, activities, dress code, location, cost etc.

The Connexions Service is available within college. Personal Advisers provide information, advice and guidance through tutorials and one-to-one interviews on a range of issues including careers planning, applications for work, training or university. They can also support with personal issues such as housing, benefits, drugs and relationships. The Connexions Service is completely confidential and free.
