Mayoress of Rotherham Dines at Wharncliffe Restaurant

click to enlarge The College’s Wharncliffe Restaurant recently hosted a special dinner for the Mayoress of Rotherham Wajida Naseem and her chosen guests.
The dinner provided the Mayoress with the opportunity to thank all the ladies from local councils who have supported her throughout her term and guests were able to enjoy pre dinner drinks followed by a 5 course meal cooked and served by college students.
The Wharncliffe Restaurant is primarily a training restaurant for Catering and Hospitality students, operating as a professional and commercial business, reflecting industry standards.
Catering & Hospitality trainer for the College John Deehan explained,
“To be chosen to host an evening such as this was a fantastic honour for both the Wharncliffe and the students. It gave NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Hospitality Students a great opportunity to become part of a prestigious event.”
Mayoress Wajida Naseem said,
"I was delighted to have the opportunity of hosting a dinner at the Wharncliffe Restaurant during my year as Mayoress. The service and food was fantastic and the professionalism of the students was absolutely superb. I have received many letters of praise regarding the evening and I hope everyone involved enjoyed the evening as much I did and that this is only the start of an enjoyable and exciting career in catering. Congratulations and well done to the Wharncliffe team.”
