Child Care Champions
Staff from the Rother Valley Campus Day Nursery recently received three Child Care Champions Awards at the annual ceremony held at the Magna Science Adventure Centre.
Maltby Lions present award for ‘Student of the Year’
Local fundraising organisation Maltby (Rother Valley) Lions demonstrated their support within the area when they presented their Student of the Year Award to Thomas Mullins.
Support for Bluebell Wood
The College and the Maltby (Rother Valley) Lions teamed up to show support for local charity Bluebell Wood Childrens’ Hospice during a cheque presentation at the Rother Valley Campus.
Art and Design Diploma Show 2010
Final year Art & Design students had the opportunity to exhibit their remaining assessed pieces of work at the Rotherham Arts Centre for the annual Art and Design Diploma Show, sponsored by Howells Solicitors.
Learning outside of the classroom
Students on the Prince’s Trust Team programme have recently completed a community project at the Dalton Youth Club, Rotherham.
2010 Media Screening Event
Media students had the opportunity to view their work on the big screen during the annual showcase event at Sheffield’s Showroom cinema on Thursday 10th June.
MBE Awarded to Chair of Corporation Joan Brier
The College’s Chair of Corporation Joan Brier has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s 2010 Birthday Honours List for voluntary services to further education.
Music students to perform at Pop Music Showcase
A performance showcasing the talent of our music students will soon be held at the College’s Town Centre Campus to mark the end of year celebrations.
Rotherham Music Service Brass Ensemble perform for nursery children
Children at the Rother Valley Campus Nursery were entertained when the Rotherham Music Service Brass Ensemble paid them a visit to perform a musical interpretation to the famous story book ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ written by Eric Carle.
