The Student Services Team at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology offer a range of support services both before and after you join us.
You can visit or call us at the Town Centre and Rother Valley Campuses. We are generally open:
Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm
Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
We are also open some evenings around the start of each term (call, or see part time prospectus for details).

Help with your course and career
When you apply, you’ll be invited in for a skills assessment. This isn’t an entrance test but will give us an idea of the level you’re working at and if you might need any additional learning support. At this appointment you will also meet a Student Liaison Officer who can help you choose the right course for you and will answer any questions you may have. You can also come and see us before you apply if you would like support on choosing the right course for you. The Student Services Team will continue to offer non-academic support throughout the year as follows:
Help with student finance
We offer advice as well as a financial support scheme for full-time and part-time students. You can liaise with members of the Student Finance Team every day between 10am -11am and 2pm - 3pm, or speak to a Student Liaison Officer any time. Just pop into the Wentworth building, or give us a call.

Our counselling service
You can talk to us in confidence about anything that may be troubling you - such as relationships, bereavement, fear of failure, anxiety, depression or anything else. Just contact Student Services to book in with the qualified counsellor.
‘College Crew’ and Enrichment.
Student Services will arrange trips throughout the year to places such as Alton Towers and the great British seaside! We always welcome your suggestions and will be asking for your ideas and feedback throughout the year. We are also hoping to introduce a football team this year – come and talk to us about your ideas and if you’d like to get involved!
Want to help us AND gain a bit of extra cash??
We are looking for fresh faces to be part of our ‘College Crew’. This is a group of students that will help us with the following:
· Take part in open / careers events and encourage prospective students to study at college
· Take part in activities to encourage prospective students to study at college at open days
· To represent the College on and off campus
· To help and support the Student Liaison Officers on school visits
· Promoting learner voice and student enrichment activities
