Rotherham College of Arts and Technology has something for everyone! We offer a rich mix of full-time and part-time college courses as well as apprenticeships and degrees, plus bespoke courses delivered in the community. Our courses could be the first important step to a brighter future, putting you on the next rung of the career ladder.
Our vision
We want to provide the people of South Yorkshire with the highest-quality education and training, and to ensure that all sections of the local community are represented here. We encourage all of our students, of every age, to achieve their full potential. Our goal is also to meet the training needs of local employers, and so we continually develop our offering to address new industries and emerging needs in the workplace.
Our history
Our roots can be traced back to 1853, when Rotherham’s first School of Science and Art was set up. The college got its current name when Rotherham College of Technology merged with Rotherham College of Arts and Community Studies in 1981. In 2004, we merged with Rother Valley College in Dinnington and we acquired Rotherham Managing Agency from the local authority.
