Good childcare is vital not only to children and their families but also to the future of society and the economy. Rotherham College of Arts & Technology offers a range of nationally recognised qualifications to suit a range of learners in this important sector.
You’ll enjoy a mix of theory and practical work placements in a range of contexts. The skills and knowledge you develop will meet the needs of employers and will also help you progress into further study and/or training.
We can arrange excellent work placements thanks to our strong links and partnerships with early years and childcare settings, so you can gain first-hand experience of working with children and other professionals. Your placement will enable you to apply theory to practice while gaining an insight into how children learn and develop, and to plan and implement activities and routines for children.
You’ll also have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as paediatric first aid, creative arts, English, maths and IT, any of which would enhance your employability and future potential. A high percentage of our students progress into employment, further studies or higher education.
