One of the keys to success for all students is the Learning Centres. They combine the best of a traditional library service with a range of modern learning opportunities and environments, allowing students to continue learning outside the classroom in a way that suits them.
The Learning Centres include
Extensive hardcopy collections (books, magazines, newspapers)
Multimedia collections (DVDs, CDs) for study and personal use
Online collections available anywhere on or off campus
Drop-in PCs with the latest software
Social Learning Spaces so you can vary the way you study
Modern teaching spaces …and much more besides
All of this is supported by experienced and knowledgeable staff who continue to develop the service to meet ever changing and diverse learning styles. There are six Learning Centres across the two campuses, each with a specific curriculum focus. Evening opening, targeted vacation openings and a strong virtual presence on
Moodle (our virtual learning environment) and the Student Portal ensure that access to resources won’t be a problem.
You’ll receive a full induction to all that the Learning Centres have to offer when you start at college and will find all the help you need during your course to get the best out of this invaluable resource.
