At Rotherham College of Arts and Technology you can choose from a wide range of apprenticeships in a variety of industry sectors. They are available at different levels and there’s even extra support to help you become eligible to apply.
Different levels
There are three levels of apprenticeship. ‘Intermediate’ (Level 2) offers qualifications such as NVQ Level 2, Key Skills, and sometimes a BTEC. ‘Advanced’ (Level 3) is for qualifications like NVQ Level 3, Key Skills and usually a certificate such as a BTEC. ‘Higher’ (Level 4) apprenticeships offer NVQ Level 4 and sometimes a foundation degree.
Our pre-apprenticeship pathway
Rotherham College of Arts and Technology offers a pre-apprenticeship program. This is a fast-track service for people who are interested in doing an apprenticeship but need extra support before they can apply. The 10-week course includes the Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills plus Maths and English skills. It’s ideal for the unemployed, students, people going back to work, people with special educational needs, people changing career, and people made redundant.
