Whether you are wishing to teach, or support teaching within education or develop your qualifications to become a trainer within a private organisation we have various part-time courses available to choose from.
With the current teaching legislation in place all new entrants to teaching in the lifelong learning sector are expected to be working towards at least a level 3 teaching qualification and gain ATLS (Associate Teacher Learning & Skills) / QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills) within 5 years of teaching commenced.
The college offers a range of teacher training courses, from introductory level leading to higher education qualifications.
Choose to study from PTLLS – Prepare to Teach in the Lifelong Sector DTLLS – Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (which leads to QTLS) Certificate in Education, PGCE, (which leads to QTLS) following which you can progress on to the BA Honours in Education and Training or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
We also offer the assessment award and verification award (known as TAQA awards) through tutorials using a flexible delivery method.
